Eforle Nord - Eforie Sud and Techirghiol - health resorts

Eforie Nord (14 km South of Constanta), situated at the same latitude as the famous Nice, Monaco and San Remo, offers a wide range of therapies performed in hotels of 1 to 3 stars, the most important being "Steaua de Mare", "Meduza" and "Delfinul", which have their own treatment bases. They also have pools with concentrated salinity, wich use water from the Techirghiol Lake and are very efficient in locomotion diseases. The seawall of the resort is spectacular, in some places being as high as 25 m.

Eforie Sud was called in the inter-war period "Carmen Silva", after the literary pseudonym of Queen 'Elisabeta of Romania. Turned into a resort in 1912, it is recommended for the – therapy of rheumatic, dermatological and bone illnesses. The limestone promontory and the seawall, which, in some places, is 35 meters wide, make this resort unique. The hotels' categories range between 1 and 2 stars.

Techirghiol is a resort placed on the shore of the Techirghiol Lake, and it has become famous for its organogenous mud, dug out from the bottom of the lake, with remarcable curative qualities, well-known all over the world. At Techirghiol one can also undergo therapies with saline aerosols. Helio and wave-therapy are also available on the lake's fine-sand beaches.
