Casa Marina Villa in Poiana Brasov

Situated less than 10 minutes from the ski lifts in Romania's most popular mountain resort, Poiana Brasov, Casa Marina offers quality accommodation that is perfect for individuals, families or groups. There are 3 self-catering apartments with 2 bedrooms and a sofa bed in the lounge and a smaller apartment accommodating 2 persons.

Each apartment has its own kitchen and bathroom facilities and is fully equipped and serviced. Poiana Brasov has excellent skiing and sports facilities.

In spring and summer it has many hiking and horse riding trails amidst spectacular scenery. There are excellent restaurants nearby. It is only 13km from the resort to the beautiful medieval city of Brasov, with a frequent bus service.

The villa is privately owned, but all income is given directly to support Romania's first hospice, Casa Sperantei, in the city of Brasov. Click here for more information about the hospice

Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. Transfers to and from Bucharest (Otopeni Airport) can be arranged as follows (Subject to Availability):

Changeover day
Changeover day will normally be Saturday for week bookings, but some flexibility will be allowed particularly out of high season.

Apartment 1 (2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 4/8)
This apartment sleeps 4/8 people. It has 2 double bedrooms and a spacious living room with a double sofa bed and 2 single chair beds. It has a bathroom with bath/shower and wc, and an additional separate wc. The kitchen is fully equipped including a gas oven and fridge/freezer. There is also a satellite TV in the living room.

Apartment 2 (2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 4/6)
This duplex apartment sleeps 4/6 people. It has 2 double bedrooms and a spacious living room with a double sofa bed. It has a bathroom with shower and wc, and an additional separate wc. The kitchen is fully equipped including a gas oven and fridge/freezer. There is also a satellite TV in the living room.

Apartment 3 (2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 4/6)
This duplex apartment sleeps 4/6 people. It has 2 double bedrooms and a spacious living room with a double sofa bed. It has a bathroom with shower and wc, and an additional separate wc. The kitchen is fully equipped including a gas oven and fridge/freezer. There is also a satellite TV in the living room.

Apartment 4 (Studio, Sleeps 2)
This apartment sleeps 2 people. It has 1 large room with a a double bed and living area. It has a bathroom with shower and wc. The kitchen is fully equipped including a gas oven and fridge/freezer. There is also a satellite TV in the living room.

Notes on accommodation
The apartments have gas central heating which is included in the price.

Outside
Apartment 1 has a ground floor terrace with great views, and a small barbecue area.

Apartments 2 and 3 have their own balconies, all with stunning views.

There is an area of lawn and shrubs outside the villa.

Skiing
It is just 10 minutes from the villa to the ski lifts. Poiana Brasov has excellent skiing facilities with cable cars and numerous lifts. There are 12 ski runs (including and Olympic run), to suit both advanced and novice skiers, and ski hire is easily available in the resort. There are good apres-ski facilities including some excellent traditional restaurants and night clubs. It is only a 20 minute bus ride to the medieval city of Brasov and a 30 minute car journey to Dracula's Castle in Bran.

Travel
Poiana Brasov is 2 hours 45 minutes by road from Bucharest (Otopeni) airport, and transport can be arranged if required. There are direct flights from London Heathrow and London Gatwick with British Airways, and from London Heathrow with Tarom. There are also good deals with other airlines such as Austrian, Lufthansa, Swiss and CSA (Czech Airlines). There are also some charter flights from regional airports during the ski season.

Distances
It is only a 20 minute bus ride from Poiana Brasov to the medieval city of Brasov and a 30 minute car journey to Dracula's Castle in Bran.

Other sight-seeing trips can be arranged by Nelu, our local manager to places such as Peles Castle and the medieval town of Sighisoara.

The Carpathian region of Transylvania is one of the last natural wildernesses in Europe, where bears still roam and eagles soar. The mountain scenery is staggeringly beautiful and is easily accessed from Poiana Brasov.

Further details
Poiana Brasov has some excellent restaurants including the famous Coliba Haiducilor (Outlaw's Cabin). There is a supermarket within walking distance of the villa and a range of sports facilities including tennis, mini-golf, football, basketball, fitness centres and saunas etc.

In spring and summer the area has many hiking and horse riding trails amidst spectacular scenery. There are disco's and other entertainments during high season.
